Use a square ratio (1:1)
Shopee, Tokopedia, and TikTok Shop all show product photos as squares in search results and on product pages. Portrait or landscape photos get cropped or padded, so the product can look small or cut off.
That's why it's best to make every product photo 1:1 from the start.
Resolution: higher is safer
Buyers often zoom in to check details. Low-resolution photos fall apart when zoomed. Use photos of at least about 1,000 x 1,000 pixels so they stay sharp.
Etalasa HD photos are made in high resolution at a square size, so they hold up when zoomed.
Format and file size
- Use JPG or PNG, formats every marketplace accepts.
- Keep file sizes reasonable so uploads are quick. Maximum limits differ by marketplace.
- Avoid frames or large text on the main photo, since some marketplaces restrict them.
Framing the product
The product should fill most of the photo, about three quarters of the frame, with a little space around it. A product that's too small is hard to see on a phone screen, while one that's too tight looks cramped.
In Etalasa you can move and resize the product before downloading.
Always check the latest rules
Marketplace photo rules can change at any time. Before uploading many products, check each marketplace's seller education or help center for the latest requirements.
